FUFA Big League side, Uganda People’s Defense Force (UPDF FC) has added five fresh faces to the squad ahead of the 2020/2021 season.
The new signings made by the Army-side include midfielder Gadaffi Gadinho, Tony Kyamera, Juma Ssebaduka and John Ssemazzi.
All the recruits join the Bombo based club on a two-year contract except Semazzi who only settled for a single year deal.
Custodian Kyamera joins UPDF FC as a free agent having been released by Express while Gadaffi Gadinho played for Mbarara City last season.
Semazzi featured for relegated side Tooro United while Sebadduka was formerly at Bright Stars FC. He also played for the Red Eagles.
UPDF FC has as well renewed contracts with goalkeeper Douglas Kisembo, defender Andrew Waiswa.
Both Kisembo and Waiswa joined UPDF in January this year from Tanzanian side Africa Lyon and Kenyan Premier League side Kakamega Homeboyz respectively.
The development will see Kisembo and Waiswa stay at the club until the end of 2021/2022 season.
Earlier on this week, Steven Bogere coached side signed four former Proline players in Ronnie Kisekka, Simon Mbaziira, James Begesa and Ibrahim Wammanah.
UPDF FC and MYDA FC were the two teams which automatically gained promotion to play in next season’s Uganda Premier League having topped the Elgon and Rwenzori Big League groups respectively .
