Masaka District Woman Member of Parliament, Mary Babirye Kabanda and Kampala Central’s Mohammad Nsereko have eulogized the departed Kampala Capital City Mayor, Hajji Nasser Ntege Ssebaggala.
Hon. Babirye, who is also the Democratic Party National Treasurer, described the passing on of Ssebaggala as a “heartbreaking” moment.
“It’s really heart breaking losing the former Kampala Mayor and member of the Democratic Party Al Hajji Nasser Ntege Ssebagala,” said Babirye.

“With this gruesome tragedy, we have lost one of the most charismatic and dignified leaders in Uganda. My heartfelt condolences to Hon. Latif Ssebagala, his family and all the others who are grieving his untimely death,” she said.
Nsereko on his part said Ssebaggala was a receptive figure who shared developmental and leadership ideas with many including the former.
“Al hajji Nasser Ntege Ssebaggala has left us. We have always shared many great moments together, discussed a lot about business and governance,” said Nsereko.
Adding: “The last time we met was on the 8th of September 2020 as he came to extend his condolences for the passing on of Zulfah Nansereko my sister.”
He noted that late was just less than two weeks ago healthy and participated in family discussions for long hours.
“We had a family chat of over 5 hours, hardly did any of us know that he was bidding farewell to all of us,” he said.
