Regional League Promotional Playoffs: (Eastern Region)
Gadaffi FC have edged closer to FUFA Big League qualification after a marauding 4-0 win against Admin FC in the Eastern Regional League promotional playoffs duel played at FUFA Technical Center, Njeru on Sunday.
Goals from Thomas Ochungo, Ronald Obele, Mark Bamukyaaye and Edimond Robert (O.G) ensured the win for the soldiers who are now just one step away from the second division (FUFA Big League).
Ochungo headed home a powerful header off Ronald Obele’s curling corner kick in the 21st minute before laying a diagonal ball to Obele who beat Admin goalkeeper Patrick Wafula on the stroke of half time for the second.
Bamukyaaye made it three, moments after the restart before defender Robert Edimond put the ball at the back of the net past his own goalkeeper on the hour mark.
Gadaffi FC now awaits the winner between Team Church and Admin who will battle in the North East do or die game on Sunday afternoon.
The final between Gaddafi and the North East region champions will be played on Tuesday, 27th October 2020 at Njeru.
