US Elections: Bobi Wine Congratulates Joe Biden, Kamara Harris

Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine, the presidential candidate of the National Unity Platform party (NUP) has congratulated the newly election president of the United States of America (USA), Joe Biden together with his vice; Harris Kamara upon their success in the recently concluded polls.

Biden won the presidency after beating his counterpart and the incumbent Donald Trump, who has since refused to concede, with 290 Electoral College votes against Trump’s 214 votes.

Biden, a Democratic Party candidate scored over 75.1 million vote count (50.6%), against the Republican’s Trump who scored 70.8 million vote count (47.7%).

“I am honored and humbled by the trust the American people have placed in me and in Vice President-elect [Kamala] Harris,” Biden said in a statement shortly after his victory.

In a counter statement, Trump said, “Joe Biden has not been certified as the winner of any states, let alone any of the highly contested states headed for mandatory recounts, or states where our campaign has valid and legitimate legal challenges that could determine the ultimate victor,”

In his congratulatory message, Kyagulanyi said, “I congratulate the people of America upon a successful election in which Joe Biden and Harris Kamara were elected to office,” he said adding,

“We celebrate when democracy triumphs in any nation, because that is what we clamor for. Wishing the president elect, a successful term in office,” he concluded.
