Former Ugandan Ambassador to the United States Ambassador Dickson Ogwang has exchanged vows with his new partner, Mrs Ranny Ismail.
The couple was united in marriage today at the Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB) in Kampala.
They later on hosted their guests to a reception at Mestil Hotel in Nsambya.
Ambassador Ogwang, who was recalled from Washington DC over alleged domestic violence, is now Uganda’s Ambassador to South Sudan.
His new partner Ranny Ismael currently serves as the Deputy Communications Director of the Parliament of Uganda.
Ogwang came into negative limelight in 2018 when he was accused by the US government of assaulting his wife Miriam Pheona Atengo.
He was subsequently deported after serving less than a year as Ambassador.
Ogwang and Atengo had been married since 2011 and have two children.
Following his deportation, the marital misunderstandings carried on until the ambassador decided to file for divorce, accusing Atengo of among others adultery, verbal abuse, cruelty, physical violence, slander, and engaging in pornographic.
Mengo Chief Magistrate Court granted the divorce in October this year.
