UPDF FC tactician Kefa Kisala and KCCA FC striker Brian Aheebwa have been crowned as Uganda Premier League’s best Coach and player respectively for the previous month of December.
The duo has been crowned during the awards ceremony that took place at Kati Kati Restaurant in Lugogo – Kampala on Tuesday morning.
Before the league went into a break, the KCCA talisman Aheebwa had scored seven goals from five games including a quadruple (4) against Onduparaka at the MTN Omondi stadium.
His other three goals came against Soltilo Bright Stars, Sports Club Villa and Uganda Revenue Authority Football Club.
Aheebwe saw off competition from Police Football Club’s forward Ben Ocen (Six goals) and Brian Kalumba who has scored four goals for the league new entrants UPDF FC.
Elsewhere, UPDF FC head coach Kefa Kisala guided the Army side to four wins of a possible five breaking off atop the Uganda Premier League summit on 12 points.
Kisala saw off URA FC’s Sam Ssimbwa who is yet to lose in five games, sitting in second on the 16-team log on 11 points, one behind pacesetters UPDF.
The respective winners in the coaches and players categories walked away with an award and one million Uganda shillings (1,000,000) each.
