Former Liberian President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf has sent out a message wishing Ugandans a peaceful electoral process.

In her message delivered via zoom, Sirleaf one of the pioneers of the “Women Situation Room” (WSR) asked Ugandans especially women to ensure that the country remains peaceful before, during and after elections.

“2021 elections have brought a different Political land scape whereby for the first time in Africa we are seeing the youth forming their own Political party.”

She asked all people of Uganda to ensure that they put the youth at the forefront when it comes to peace advocacy.

“We can have a National dialogue between all political parties in the Country and the Government of Uganda to resolve all pressing issues before the elections day.”

Sirleaf asked Ugandans to use all the available options like Physical Situation Rooms to report all cases of violence that may come up in the election process.

The country will tomorrow hold its elections for the President and Members of Parliament.
