The Ministry of Labour has authorized a job order for Premier Recruitment Limited which will see 200 Ugandans get employment from United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Premier Recruitment, a labour externalization form owned by city businessman Rajiv Ruparelia is one of the top companies licensed to legally export labour to outside countries.

In a letter to the Managing Director of this labour firm, the commissioner of labour in the Gender Ministry Lawrence Egulu said, “reference is made to your submission dated 25th January 2021 on the above subject and accompanying details.”

He added; “This request has been evaluated and found to meet the requirements of the pertinent provisions of the Employment (Recruitment of Ugandan Migrant Workers Abroad) Regulation, 2005 and Guideline 13.0 of the Guidelines 011 the Recruitment and Placement of Uganda Migrant Workers Abroad. 2015.”

Mr Egulu said the “purpose of this letter, therefore, is to inform you that the (200) employment opportunities offered by TRANSGUARD GROUP 200 in United Arab Emirates have been posted and are advertised on our website.”

All the 200 workers needed will work as cleaners.

“Your company is urged to continue following the provisions of the Regulations and Guidelines throughout the recruitment and deployment process of this category of Ugandan migrant workers,” he appealed.

The government of Uganda earns $1.4 billion a year from the labour externalisation business and also helps reduce the unemployment in the country.
