Uganda Hippos head coach Morley Byekwaso has named the final 25-man players travelling squad ahead of the U20 Africa Cup of Nations tournament.
The squad of three goalkeepers, seven defenders, nine midfielders and six strikers will on Monday travel along with eight team officials headed by Richard Ochom as the leader of delegation.
18 players that were part of the CECAFA Zonal qualifiers have retained their places on the traveling team. In addition seven new faces that missed the qualifiers, have managed to break through.
Uganda Hippos will play against Tanzania and Namibia in a Mini Tournament from 2nd-9th February before flying to Mauritania for the AFCON U20 Final tournament.
The team is scheduled to depart from Entebbe International Airport for Tanzania at 8:00am aboard Uganda Airlines.
Uganda Hippos was placed in Group A alongside hosts Mauritania, Cameroon, and Mozambique. The tournament is slated for 14th February to 6th March.
