The Uganda Woodball Federation (UWBF) has re-elected Paul Mark Kayongo as president for the next five years.
Kayongo went through unopposed before he was declared the president during the Annual General meeting held on Saturday at the Federation head Offices in Mengo, Kampala.
For starters, Kayongo is founding president of the sports in Uganda, which he spearheaded after the International University Sports Federation (FISU) General Assembly in Dubai in March 2006.
He got the green light to introduce the game in Africa when he was appointed the vice president in charge of the sport at the world headquarters.
He’s been a vital cog since the interception of the sport in 2006 before gradually promoting it on the African continent in countries such as South Africa, Nigeria, Zambia, Malawi, Tanzania, among others
Kayongo will be deputized by Vicente Kisenyi and Shanaz Luwedde as the first and second vice president respectively. The duo also went through unopposed.
The other elective positions have Collins Semanda (General Secretary), Sarah Mpiima (Treasurer), John Bosco Kaddu (Technical Director) and William Osire as the Male representatives.

Only two positions of Women representative and public relations Officer remained vacant and will be occupied in due course.
The annual general assembly furthermore approved a proposed Budget of 1.6Bn for FY 2021-2022 giving an increase of 200M from the previous year’s budget.
