FUFA Big League side Arua Hill Sports Club has officially unveiled defender Rashid Muhammad who joins from Kyetume FC.
Muhammad whose transfer was confirmed on Tuesday, signed a two year deal with Arua Hill SC that will end in 2023.
The club’s ninth new signing has in the past featured for Onduparaka and Mbarara City in the Uganda Premier League.
Tactician Hussein Mbalangu believes the latest acquisition will strengthen the team’s defense.
“It is very important and I’m happy with the management for having secured Rashid’s signature since we were missing some maturity in the defence. We have many good defenders but and it is key that this move had to happen,” Mbalangu said.
“I have seen Rashid play for Onduparaka and even captained the team, his addition in the unit is going to strengthen the defence because we aim to play without conceding. The best team must have a very good defence, so we are very happy with him, we welcome him to the Kongolo family and expect him to do more to strengthen the team at large,” he added.
He joins Dan Birikwalira, Rashid Agau, Baden Mujahid, Leku Alfred, Paddy Muhumuza, Collins Onega, Idi Abdulwahid and Mike Kawooya as other acquisitions.
The former Dove All Stars will host their Big League games at Barifa Stadium in Arua as they target promotion to the top tier.
