Netball: 18 Make She Cranes Provisional Squad for Cape Town Test Series

Uganda Netball Federation (UNF) has released a list of 18 players summoned on the provisional squad for the test series scheduled for 24th of March in Cape Town City, South Africa.

The provisional squad that has six shooters, five mid court players and seven defenders alongside three officials of the technical team, will kick-off preparations next week with a non residential training camp at Lugogo.

She Cranes is set to battle it out with South Africa’s Spar Proteas in a three match test series as the two continental giants intensify preps for the Netball World Cup.

The two teams will be joined by their respective U21 sides, Namibia and the Netball South Africa President, Cecilia Molokwane’s XII.

The test series will bring together two of the world’s highly ranked teams with Uganda settling in 7th while South Africa’s Proteas are 5th placed.

Shooters: Mary Nubba (Lightning), Irene Eyaru (KCCA), Stella Oyella (NIC), Anisha Mohammed (UCU), Shadia Nasanga (KCCA), Anisha Kabedera (Weyonje)

Mid Court: Sarah Nakiyunga (KU), Mamie Suzan (Police), Susan Atino (KCCA), Florence Adunia (NIC), Shafic Shalila (KBK)

Defenders: Nasimu Mutesi (NIC), Shaffie Nalwanjja (KCCA), Fauzia Nakibuule (KCCA), Joan Nampugu (NIC), Prevas Kayenyi (NIC), Robinah Nyakecho (UCU), Mumena Tausi (Prisons)
