• MYDA FC 1-4 Express
Express Football Club tactician Wasswa Bbosa has heaped praise on his players following the team’s massive victory on the road against MYDA (1-4) at King George IV memorial stadium in Tororo.
George Senkaaba and Godfrey Lwesibawa scored a brace apiece as the hot Red Eagles piled more misery on newly promoted MYDA in the Uganda Premier League on Tuesday.
“I am glad that we’ve got our third away win MYDA. We missed chances earlier because mainly our forwards lacked concentration but I felt it was different today, concentration levels were high but now that we’re done, we’re going back to work on our conversion rate because we still need to be sharper going forward,” Bbosa told Express media.
He added, “First of all I thank the management, the fans and fellow players for the hard work which has enabled us to get this third away win. I’m happy for the goals I’ve scored but it’s not me only it’s the team work that has enabled us to get this win. Now we go home and focus on the next chapter. I arge all fans to buy season tickets and watch us win as we handle it game by game.”
The win saw the “Wankulukuku Boys” leapfrog Police FC from the second position on 19 points from 9 games two points behind table leaders on Vipers SC.
The six-time league winners will host Wakiso Giants on Friday 26th February, at the Betway Mutesa II stadium in Wankulukuku, seeking to keep their unbeaten run intact.
