Players Abroad: Wadri Inspires Bandari Win, Defender Mpuuga Handed KPL Debut

Another action packed weekend it was for Ugandan born players in the diaspora, find out how they fared at their respective professional clubs with a detailed report.

In the Kenyan Premier League, striker William Wadri netted a brace as his Bandari FC side edged past goalkeeper Benjamin Ochan’s AFC Leopards 2-1. Ochan was in goal for the Leopards.

Still in Kenya, new signing Martin Mpuuga earned his debut and played full time for Western Stima as they lost 3-2 at home to Kakamega Home Boys. His country mate Isaac Doca Mweru also played for Western Stima.

In the South African second division, gangly striker Daniel Isiagi was in action as his Jomo Cosmos side lost 3-0 at Polokwane City.

Goalkeeper Cleo James Setuba and Joseph Zziwa featured as their Biashara Mara side hammered Ruvu Shooting 3-0 in the Tanzania Premier League.

In Morocco, Uganda Cranes striker Patrick Kaddu played only 41 minutes before paving way for Aoufir as Youssoufia Berrechid defeated Fus Rabat 2-1in the Botola Pro League.

In the English Championship, Karl Mubiru Ikpeauzi played 85 minutes while Jordan Obita played full time as Wycombe Wanderers fired blanks with Millwall.

In the English League 2, Elvis Bwomono played full time and also saw yellow in the 83rd minute as his Southend FC side lost 1-0 at Bolton while Jayden Onen played full time as his side Reading U23 lost 3-1 to Stoke City U23.

In the Germany Bundesliga 2, Herbert Bochorn featured for 45 minutes as his Bochum side lost 1-0 to Aue.

In Algeria, attacking midfielder Allan Okello came off the bench as Paradou Athletic Club pipped Medea 2-1.

In the Swedish Svenska Cupen, defender Ronald Mukiibi played 87 minutes while Isak Ssewankambo played full time as their Ostersunds FK beat Landskrona 3-0 on the road.

In the Ethiopian Premier League, defender Isaac Isinde played full time as Hadiya Hossana drew goalless with Ethiopia Bunna.

In the Primus Premier League, midfielder Allan Brian Kiiza also featured for the full 90 minutes while defender Mugisha Steven was an unused substitute as their Le Messanger Ngozi side drew 1-1 at Bumamura in Burundi.

Elsewhere, defender Joseph Othieno played full time as Musongati FC lost 2-0 at Rukinzo in Burundi.

In the Danish Premier League, Moses Opondo played full time as his Odense FC drew goalless at Horsens.

Robert Kakeeto started before being substituted for Kusk in the 61st minute as his Aalborg side lost 2-0 at home to defending champions Midtjylland.
