Kampala Metropolitan Police on Tuesday took over custody of the body of the late Bob Kasango who succumbed to heart failure on Saturday at Luzira prison.

According to Police, they have taken the action to enable the two families agree on where the deceased city lawyer will be buried.

“The late Bob Kasango is a born of Tororo and he marries from Tooro. Today after the Church service at All Saints Cathedral, Nakasero, the people from Tororo organised young men who came and took away the body that they are heading to Tororo for burial. The wife had organised that he should be buried in Tooro,” said Luke Owoyesigire, the deputy Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson in a statement.

He said Kasango’s relatives insisted their son could not be buried in Tooro.
