Uganda National Beach Soccer Team (Sand Cranes) has on Monday entered a residential camp at the FUFA Technical Centre, Njeru in preparation for the 2021 Africa Beach Soccer Cup of Nations qualifiers scheduled for this month.
The Sand Cranes began preparations with a double training session at the newly constructed Beach Soccer Facility in Njeru under the stewardship of Salim Jamal Muwonge.
Of the 20 summoned players for the qualifiers, only 11 turned up for training on day one as the rest (nine) still have engagements with their Uganda Premier League clubs (expected to join the camp on Thursday).
Uganda will play host to Ghana on Saturday, 27th March 2021 at FUFA Technical Centre, Njeru with the second leg slated between 9th-10th April.
The aggregate winner between the two nations will book a berth for the Africa Beach Soccer Cup Nations final tournament slated for May in Senegal.
