Ugandan musicians have joined thousands around the world to mourn dead Tanzania leader, John Pombe Joseph Magufuli.

Magufuli breathed his last on Wednesday, March 17, 2021, in a hospital in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania following a “heart condition” relating to an abnormal heartbeat that he had long suffered from.

Here we bring you some of the condolence messages from Ugandan musicians to Tanzanian musicians and the public at large.

Top Tanzania artists like Diamond Platnumz, Harmonize, Alikiba who were a special company to President Magufuli continue to pour condolences for him.

Prior, Magufuli’s health was uncertain and after almost three weeks off his public appearance routine.

This sparked pressure from the natives to the government as they demanded to know his status with rumors that he was seeking treatment abroad for Covid-19 also arising.

Flags are being flown at half-mast in the entire East African region and Tanzania begun a 14-day mourning period.

Vice-President Samia Suluhu Hassan has on Friday morning been sworn-in as the new head of state for the remaining 5years left on the deceased’s term.

Samia becomes the first female leader of the country with a 58Million population.
