Museveni, wife get vaccinated against #Covid-19

President Museveni and First lady, Janet Museveni get vaccinated by Permanent Secretary Ministry of Health, Diana Atwine at State House.

 

President Yoweri Museveni has joined other heads of states in Africa to get vaccinated against #Covid-19.

Museveni and his wife, Janet Museveni have today been vaccinated hence ending speculation that he had earlier been vaccinated together with members of the first family. Museveni shortly after getting vaccinated he announced on his twitter handle

“First Lady @JanetMuseveni and I got our #Covid-19 vaccine today in Nakasero. I encourage all Ugandans who qualify for this vaccination to go to health facilities and get it. But remember to keep observing the SoPs; wear masks, wash/sanitise hands and observe social distance, etc”

Museveni has dragged Daily Monitor newspaper to court for publishing a story that he and other members of the first family had secretly gotten vaccinated much earlier. Daily Monitor quoted an American paper that earlier on ran the same story. Museveni joins the first son, Lt. Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba who came out earlier to get vaccinated.
