2021 seems to be a year of success and more riches for Ugandan music artistes; from Sheebah procuring herself a luxurious boat, Lydia Jazmine’s just sealed deal with Radiant and Crysto Panda’s Swangz Avenue ‘entry’, Shafik Walukagga better known as Fik Fameica alias ‘Fresh Bwoy’ is expanding the list with his latest Bell, Swangz Avenue deal.
Since his debut song ‘Pistol’ almost six years ago, Fik has grown from strength to strength, winning multiple honors in the process including ‘Artist of the Year’ and ‘Rapper of the Year’ awards in 2018.
It is in the same year that he also received his first international nomination alongside Khaligraph Jones and Sarkodie at the Nigeria Entertainment Awards in the category of ‘Best Male Artist Non-Nigerian/Africa.’
Hit song after another, Fik Fameka continues to establish his position in Uganda’s music industry with the current fan favorite ‘Buligita’ which has received massive airplay alongside his other hit ‘Ready’.
As fans await the 28-year-old musician’s next album, we can comfortably say he might not be looking for handouts anytime soon in this Covid-stricken industry following a multi-million shillings deal he signed with Uganda’s Premium Beverage Company, Uganda Breweries Ltd as well as Swangz Avenue.
“Sealed and Signed with #UBL. @BellLager @SwangzAvenue_official # Grateful,” Fameika posted on his social media pages.
The details about the deal are still sketchy but the ‘money bags’ emojis that accompanied the message seem to say it all. Watch the space!
