• BUL FC 3-1 Blacks Power (Agg. 5-1)
Bidco Uganda Limited Football Club (BUL FC) has become the first team to reach the Stanbic Uganda Cup round of 16 after a 3-1 second leg victory past Blacks Power on Thursday at Kyabazinga stadium in Bugembe.
The Uganda Premier League outfit had won the reverse fixture (0-2) away in Bukedea and the feat in Jinja sees them progress with a 5-1 aggregate.
BUL FC went into the lead after 20 minutes when Gwoto Fredson released onrushing Joseph Semujju in space for the talisman to produce a fine finish.
Four minutes later, the hosts doubled their advantage when Simon Peter Oketch met Peter Onzima’s square pass in the box before the former tapped in from close range.
In the second half, Deogratious Ojok proved wasteful when he failed to make use of Semujju’s swift pass off from the left, allowing the Blacks Power goalkeeper to pull out a reflex save.
Ten minutes to the final whistle, the visitors found a consolation through Michael Siiwu’s penalty kick. The advancing striker was fouled by Dudu Ramadhan in the box before sending custodian Sanon Mulabi the wrong way from the spot.
After 86 minutes, super sub Robert Mukongotya steered BUL’s goal fest with the last nail in the coffin. He received the ball from the middle of the park, dodged three opponents before aiming for the far post.
