UPL: Kagimu, Ojera Strikes Subdue KCCA

1 Mins read

Skipper Shafik Kagimu and winger Joachim Ojera second half strikes inspired URA’s 2-0 home win against KCCA FC in the Uganda Premier league on Tuesday at the Arena of Visions in Bombo.

Following a goalless first stanza, Ojera in the 55th minute broke KCCA’s resilience when he met a Brian Majwega inswinging cross from the left before nodding home a header past goalkeeper Charles Lukwago.

Eleven minutes later, attacking midfielder Kagimu doubled the advantage, set-up by striker Steven Mukwala for a tap-in.

Cromwell Rwothomio could have stretched the lead but his attempt went few inches wide while custodian Lukwago kept out leading top scorer Mukwala.

URA FC went onto 39 points in the second position while KCCA FC remains 4th on the log with 30 points after matchday 17. Both will play against BUL FC and SC Villa in their next respective fixtures.
