Onduparaka Football Club striker Noel Nasasira has vowed to exert revenge on his former employers KCCA FC when both face-off in the Uganda Premier League return leg on Sunday at AbaBet Greenlight stadium, Arua.
Nasasira rose through the ranks at KCCA FC Soccer Academy before being elevated to the senior team set-up in February 2017 alongside Mustafa Kizza, Allan Okello, Herbert Achai, Julius Poloto, and Peter Magambo.
The forward who didn’t capture former KCCA head coach Mike Hilary Mutebi’s attention during his brief stint in Lugogo, bemoans the limited playing time with his former employees.
“Am really so ready and prepared to face KCCA because I have been training very well knowing the kind of opponents am facing and my target is to score against them and also have good game,” Nasasira disclosed ChimpReports.
“I have managed to score one goal in three games but yearning to add more to my tally. Luck of playing time basing on the games I have had has really made it hard for me but am working harder for more games to improve on my weaknesses and I would take the opportunity of returning to KCCA without thinking twice because it made me known to the world,” he added.
Nasasira who joined Onduparaka on loan from Kyetume believes hard work and consistency will help him achieve his season objectives.
“My performance has not be good because of the the long time I have not been playing. As a player, I want to be among the best goal scores in the league and my target is to score 10 goals which I believe with more hard work and consistency its achievable,” Nasasira said.
Onduparaka will miss Jamal Malish who is on a three-month suspension while Rashid Okocha limped off against MYDA and the game comes too early for the defender.
Hakim Magombe and Derrick Ochen are back in training and are available for selection.
