The Uganda legal fraternity is mourning yet another of its own, Abdul Karim Lubega Ssakka, who has been serving as President of Uganda Muslims Lawyers Association.

Ssakka is said to have succumbed to Covid19 on Saturday after spending days in the ICU.

Following the news of his passing, many of his colleagues have been sending out condolences, describing him as a person who worked tirelessly to ensure people’s rights are respected.

“Rest in peace humble man. May Allah have mercy on you. Inallillah wainaillayihi Yurajun.” Kampala MP Hon Muhammad Nsereko remarked.

The Muslim Center for Justice and Law in their eulogy, described Ssakka as a humble, devoted advocate who was friendly to many.

“Surely, Allah takes what is His, and what He gives is His, and to all things He has appointed a time. So have patience and be rewarded. May Allah magnify your reward, and make perfect your bereavement, and forgive your departed.”

The deceased will be laid to rest today (Sunday) at his ancestral home in Butambala district.
