Left back Moses Kalanzi has parted ways with 13-time Uganda Premier League champions, KCCA FC, the club has confirmed.
Kalanzi leaves the Kasassiro Boys having run down his contract at the end of the just concluded 2020/2021 season.
The 23-year old joined the Lugogo based side in September last year after being released by Danish first division side Jammerbugt Football Club. He played only one game for KCCA FC against BUL FC in the league.
The former Express and Super Cubs defender had been seen as a perfect replacement for Eric Ssenjobe who had moved on to Police FC and gained a regular starting position.
Kalanzi has however, failed to beat competition from Hassan Musana and Moses Aliro who have been darling options for former gaffer Mike Mutebi and the caretaker coach Morley Byekwaso.
Kalanzi played for both the Uganda U-17 and U-23 teams notably being part of the squad that represented Uganda in the 2011 All African games held in Maputo.
His void could be filled by Brian Majwega who is consistently linked to move to the MTN Omondi stadium from last season runner-up Uganda Revenue Authority Football Club (URA FC).
