The championship is scheduled for July 17 to August 1 in Nairobi, Kenya, hosted by Vihiga Queens where the winner will book one of the eight tickets to the inaugural finals that will be played in Egypt later this year.

Lady Doves earned the ticket as Uganda’s sole representatives at the inaugural women’s interclub championship having triumphed in the Super League that was played in a bubble at the FUFA Technical Center, Njeru in May.

A total of nine teams including hosts Vihiga Queens (Kenya), PVP Buyenzi (Burundi), FAD Club (Djibouti), Denden (Eritrea), Commercial Bank of Ethiopia, Scandinavian (Rwanda), Yei Join Stars (South Sudan), Simba Queens (Tanzania) and Lady Doves will take part in the tournament.
